Results grid and data editing

Results appear in the bottom dock’s Data Grid tab (or in a split panel beneath the editor in the standalone pop-out window).

Filters switch	Reveals a search box and per-column filter boxes (§17.3).

Generate Update Script	Appears once you have edited cells (§17.5).

Beneath the grid a status line reads, SQL*Plus style: [14:32:07] 341 rows selected in 0.084 seconds.

#17.2Result tabs and Script Output

One tab per result set when a script produced several.
A Script Output tab appears when some statements produced no grid (DDL, DML, PL/SQL), when nothing produced a grid, or on error. It shows the server message, the statement count and the elapsed time. On error the tab is titled Error and shown in red.

#17.3Searching and filtering

Turn on the Filters switch to get:

A Filter all columns… box that matches text in any column.
A small filter box under every column header for per-column matching.

Filters are case-insensitive substring matches, combine with AND, and reset the page to 1. Turning the switch off clears them.

#17.4Paging

The grid pages at 100 rows per page. Use the ‹ and › buttons. Filtering applies to the whole result set, not just the current page.

#17.5Editing cells and generating an UPDATE script

Turn on Edit Mode, then:

Double-click a cell to edit it in place. Enter commits the edit to the grid, Esc cancels.
Right-click a cell to open the Large Data Editor — a full code editor for long text, with automatic JSON and XML detection, a Format JSON button, and syntax highlighting. Useful for CLOB and JSON columns.
Edited cells are highlighted.

Editing the grid does not change the database. DBKraft never writes silently. Instead, click Generate Update Script — it builds a reviewable UPDATE statement for every changed row and opens it in a new editor tab.

The generated script uses [TABLE_NAME] as a placeholder (the grid does not always know which table a column came from) and builds the WHERE clause from every original column value, with IS NULL for nulls. Review it, set the table name, and check the WHERE clause identifies exactly the rows you intend before running it.

#17.6Exporting results

Format	Notes
CSV	Proper RFC-style quoting for values containing commas, quotes or newlines.
JSON	An array of objects keyed by column name, pretty-printed.
HTML	A simple bordered table.
Excel	A real `.xlsx` file, generated by re-running the query on the server so the full result set is exported — not just the rows loaded into the grid.
.fmt	A SQL*Loader / BCP format file describing the column layout.
